For a spirit that began in the villages of Goa, distilled from cashew fruit and sunshine, it was not just a medal but validation: Proof that craftsmanship, when guided by patience and purpose, speaks every language.
Since that win, Sentari has captured global attention.
Distributors from the UK, Australia, and Taiwan have reached out, eager to introduce this new Goan craft spirit to discerning drinkers abroad. Closer to home, chefs, mixologists, and collectors have begun pairing, serving, and celebrating Sentari as part of India’s premium craft movement.
But for us, awards are not the finish line but a reminder of where we started: A small idea in a Goan distillery, a few barrels, and an unwavering belief that real craft doesn’t chase recognition.

OUR SENTARI TEAM
The People Behind the Spirit
Every great spirit begins with people: Their curiosity, skill, and belief in something worth perfecting. At Sentari, our team combines the precision of engineering, the wisdom of tradition, and the intuition of taste. Together, we are shaping the future of Feni, one barrel at a time.

An engineer from the University of California, Berkeley and a seasoned entrepreneur from Bombay, Karun built a successful tyre retreading business over 35 years before turning his attention to something closer to his heart...Goa.

Long fascinated by its unhurried rhythm and distinct local culture, Karun saw in Feni
a reflection of Goa’s soul: Proud, raw, and full of potential. After moving to Goa, he sought a new challenge in elevating Feni through the artistry of barrel aging. What began as a personal experiment has grown into a craft movement that bridges tradition and innovation.
Karun leads Sentari with the same curiosity that started it all, and an impeccable drive to reveal the extraordinary in what others overlook.

Sudesh’s story begins in a sunlit Goan village surrounded by cashew trees and red earth. For him, Feni is not a product, it is personal history and in heritance. As a child, he learned the rhythms of the cashew season: Collecting fruit, crushing apples, watching the slow magic of fermentation and distillation.

Today, Sudesh brings that same reverence for the process to Sentari’s operations, ensuring that every batch, every barrel, and every bottle stays true to Goa’s heritage. His journey from the orchards to the corporate side of The Feni Project reflects the spirit of Sentari itself: Rooted in tradition, refined through time.

For over two decades, Shafi has travelled deep into Goa’s Sattari region, known as the Feni capital, to source the finest raw spirit from local distillers. His expertise lies in recognizing quality not by label, but by aroma, texture, and the way the bubbles rise in the glass.

He was part of the Sentari journey from day one, selecting the Feni that would later rest in oak barrels and transform into something truly exceptional. Shafi continues to lead our sourcing and tasting programs, bridging Goa’s traditional makers with the new craft standard Sentari represents.

Raised in Mumbai and shaped by eight years in Canada, Aditya brings a global sensibility and a deeply human approach to everything he does. His early career was spent working with a non-profit focused on reducing barriers for underrepresented communities in STEM, an experience that anchored his belief in access, inclusion, and long-term impact.

Drawn to Sentari by its purpose and point of view, Aditya sees sales not as transactions, but as conversations: Opportunities to introduce people to a spirit with a story, a place, and a process behind it. At Sentari, he leads partnerships and distribution with care, clarity, and a commitment to building relationships that last. Following his unique approach, he is ready to take Sentari into the world thoughtfully, one table, one bar, and one shared moment at a time.
